  1. Mechanical soft diet: These types are cooked food that are soft and tender and can be march with a spoon of fork, it need little chewing.   2. Pureed soft diet: These are soft die that only foods that don't need chewing are eaten, it is a bit more limited than mechanical soft diet, one can only eat and swallow liquid foods, adding liquid to make the food more easier to swallow is allow, there should be intake of 8-10 glasses of water or liquid daily.
